Chinese teams and their fans have a lot to celebrate at these Games. But their energy and spirit were matched at the local Chinese (Lunar) New Year parade. Because our work schedules are quite different now, Pat went downtown on her own to get these pictures.
Vancouver's Asian communities combine respect for their ancestors' traditions with great pride and optimism for their adopted Canada. Of course, it's still a chance to sell some merch. And the legend says that the wise Old Man of Prosperity will bring luck to all who gaze on him. Take a good long look!
