After the controlled chaos of the concrete job these last few days, we were looking forward to another first-time experience. It's the 36th annual Summerfolk Music Festival, with 3 days and 7 stages of music of all kinds. Even a musical "petting zoo" where dozens of instruments are available for you to try. Embarrassed to say I had never been, but the time was finally right because we had visitors who would consider it a high point of their stay. The chairs and cooler were packed but one thing we couldn't bring was good weather.
Monsoon rains for 2 days drowned our plans to folk around. Every time it looked like clearing skies, the clouds would play a crescendo on Kelso Park. Hundreds of hard-core fans were having too much folkin' fun to get out of the rain. But the four of us took a drive to look at --- water!
