The Drill Sargeant gets me out early each day for a power walk and exploration of the island. Today we had to stay close to shelter as a major storm loomed around us --- the end of this year's not-so-rainy season. The fishermen stayed onshore due to frothing waves, even though the fish roamed the shalllows. The shore-cleaning crews buried seaweed like a pirate would bury treasure. Colourful posters reminded us of November's celebrations. And the local cocks still get the chicks.
