UNIT 905

Our online rental condo here is about 580 sq. ft. and a splurge at $1800 for the high season month of January, but it's the closest yet to the ideal setup. My guess is it was built in the early 1980's because it has dark wood lobby, high ceilings, bright Mexican colours, and retrofitted a/c along with the ceiling fan. The decor is classic local artifacts and wrought iron, but the kitchen, bath, and bedding are all gringo-comfy.  Amazing Thing #1 is that it is REALLY fully equipped with all the cooking gadgets plus novels, lots of lighting, beach toys, wifi, and live plants. 90 % of our time is spent in the open-air kitchen and balcony ---- my dream is to never have walls at all!

Amazing Thing #2 is the unobstructed view of the Bay of Banderas and Pacific Ocean. Spectacular surf waves, cruise ships, parasailing, palapas. and shenanigans on the beach. We even get hummingbirds and butterflies on the bouganvillia. A real gobsmack day or night.

There's a lot of similarities with our home back in Kemble. The unit number 905 is the area code next to our 519. And walking up to the building is a steep hill, just like home. But the most intriguing is that we are at about the same height above the water ---- about 180 feet.
No wonder this place feels right ----- it's home without the winter!
