Q: WHAT IS SDWYMTAB?

Ventured out in at dusk last night, hoping for cooler temps and a walk around historic downtown Rapid City. They have statues of all the U.S. Presidents on street corners and a nightly street closure for blues concerts, beer gardens, etc. Surprise! The event was only from 5:30 to 9 pm, in the brutal 100F heat. All we saw by 9 were the crowds looking for indoor a/c, and a bunch of kids in a splash pad.

We drove off this morning impressed by Rapid City. But it was so hot the cows were giving powered milk! So it was another day of sight-seeing from inside the van as it rolled west. South Dakota is the geographic centre of the USA and attracts motorcycles from all directions. Wyoming has endless grassy plains and lonnnnng freight trains loaded with coal or grains. Montana features big skies, oil pumps, and big herds of cattle. Oh --- it's thrashing time everywhere as the wheat has to be cut before it's toasted on the stalk in this record heat.

A surprise for me what that all 3 states have "casinos" in gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores. That means you can drop your coins into slot machines just about every 10 paces. Is that what will happen to cash-strapped places like Ontario??

The miles (985) just kept passing by and by 5pm we were back in good old Canada, at Coutts Alberta. Lethbridge was full so we're at Fort Macleod for the night. The folks are so friendly they even provided a much-needed cooling rain storm.

Answer to the Q above: South Dakota Wyoming Montana Alberta.  You thought maybe it was a Polish Energy Drink??
