Who's more foolish ---- window washers in the cold wind or a raccoon wandering in the daylight?
No fooling! Within a few hours on April 1 the sun rose like a fireball, snow pelted the city, and salt had to be spread on icy walkways.
Foolish or not, the tour boats backed out of their cozy quay and repositioned to summer docking spots. The fire boat played hide and seek with the breakaway dock section. The first sailor of the season wasn't foolish ---- took a lifeboat for the ride.
A walk to the west ends at the iconic Humber River Arch. Canadian Indigenous Peoples met with the Pope this week. Are we on a Great Trail or a Shared Path?
A walk to the east the next day has the Pickering Nuclear Plant (30 miles away) visible. More pleasant is a robin with crocus, or just a familiar path on the shore.
Is April love in the air? Rainbows are inclusive. Love-locks are personal. And the Peace Sign is hopeful for Ukraine and all of us. No fooling?
