Snow lingered early in the week. Good packing texture made for a water-side snowman (who got pushed in later!). The new skating loop is up (down?) and running (skating?). Kids get skating lessons that are fun and enthusing --- can I join in? Meanwhile at the big mall the mobs of shoppers haven't showed up yet.
No ice on the harbour yet so most of the watercraft are working boats. The red fireboat docks often, just below us. Is it a coffee run at Tim's? Various barges and freighters push by. And a strikingly clean freshly-painted ferry glided by. Might be the Guinness World's Shortest Scheduled Ferry, about 200 yards across to the Island Airport.
Darker days and colder temps are settling in. Make sure the bed is strong and the new TV ready to stream!
Daily walks along the waterfront always bring worldly sights. This sugar boat is unloading from Cuba, for instance. And our former Beach 'hood is nearby, but what other beach is beckoning??
