INACTION TO PONTIACTION: THANKS A LOT!

It's Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and the leaves are near peak but it's hard to tell because it's cloudy, chilly, damp. Still, a beautiful time...

Actually it was rainy/cloudy most of the week. Pat started the annual pond cleanup and volunteered at the Forest Festival for Grade 7 kids. The other guy did some puzzle on a rainy day --- note the picture?

Freighter traffic in October is road salt inbound, corn and grain crop outbound. But the excitement of the week started to pick up with a Bobby Dean Blackburn concert. Great background story, funky bluesy music...check them out.

Then a whirlwind started on Friday. Pre-dawn bus to Montreal. 3km walk through Montreal's Chinatown (wow, never knew about it!) to another bus station. Bus to Bromont Quebec but late to arrive due to bridge construction, traffic, holiday getaways, and car crashes. Yikes. Missed the 3rd bus of the day, a connector to Cowansville (only 15 miles from border of Vermont).

But you may not be surprised what this was all about. Got another car (how OLD is that thing, anyway??)! I've been looking for another hardtop convertible since the Eos was sold --- voila, a Pontiac G6 GT. Classy Midnight Blue exterior, rare tan leather interior (That's 4 trips to Quebec for cars, 2 were bought). Extremely low price made the trip worthwhile... Late doing the paperwork and finding our way out but drove back all night and within 24 hours another surreal experience on the road. We're good at this!

Lots more than that to be Thankful for, so here's some cake to celebrate. Like this festive family, be glad you made it this far!
