This is Canada's Thanksgiving weekend. We'll be having turkey, pumpkin and other pies, plus all the fixin's later today. But mostly we give thanks, as we do every day, for the strengths and abilities passed on to us by our ancestors. And for this wonderful bountiful country...
The setup continues at the Quay. Delays in getting wifi and tv, but the new high-speed and hundreds of channels are like moving from the country to the city. Oh ---- that's exactly what happened! A new mattress is a must, but the Ikea bedframe puts a lot of stress on the Domestic Unit.
Sights from the balcony include tall-steppers and cormorants on a breakaway dock bumper.
Surprisingly, several georgioso classic cars are parked (permanently?) in Visitor Parking. They're Visitors from the '60!? Ragtop Buick Skylark, Dusty Rose Cadillac hardtop, mini-mini original Italian Fiat. What a building --- car show included!
More from the balcony. Pirates patrolling, driftwood collecting, island ferry looping.
Back at the all-season home, the divers came out to finish the extension of the water intake line. A hundred feet further and deeper into the bay. Interesting and impressive work, completed in an hour and a half. (So what if it's raining?)
Household furniture and stuff is being transferred back and forth. Pouring rains this week, followed by subtle rainbows so close it seems we're living in the pots of gold at each end. Very gratefully, maybe we are...
