FEELS LIKE HOME(S)

A quick trip to the Toronto home was cut short by a power failure --- luckily the fridge was already thinned out before it went dark. Then on to my annual cardiac reassessment which passed with flying (treading?) colours. The worst part is the apparatus in the mouth; you can't wet your whistle! On returning to the other home in Kemble, a wild storm darkened the sky and ripped the gazebo canopy. When it all cleared it's noticeable that the trees on either side of the driveway are now touching ---- another canopy, but not rippable!

Planting the veggie garden is late this year but the Master of Her Domain says never too late to try new things (quinoa??) and put up their tents. Of course, the pond always needs monitoring but last week's clean out seems to keep the water clear so far. The pond plants have grown above the water line. And the 8th version of the waterfall is like a movie sequel ---- same locale but different effects.

Mysteriously but on cue, frogs are re-appearing in the pond. One was riding the hula hoop as it was twirled in circles by the waterfall, like being on a carousel. What a view! The fish are happy too ---- the photo shows the biggest fish ("Casper", looking ghostly) next to the smallest (a no-name "feeder"!). Like  Momma Swallow in her mud nest at the barn, this place feels like the real home.
